Dear Lord,

Every time I'm called to a scene

Please help me to remember, it could've been me

Help me to remember, the only reason
      I'm in charge

Is because you gave me the authority,
      to protect and uphold the law.

Please help in every decision, every
      arrest, in every case

Always mindful that your purpose, for
      each person, is to be saved

Help us treat the community less like
      strangers and more like friends

Avoiding prejudices and biases that
      can lead to a destructive end

Lord allow us only to use force as a
      last resort

Remembering in the end, we'll have to
      give a final report

Help us to be a good example on and
      off the job

For you are also protecting us and our
      families with love

Lord, please help me to remember, it
      could've been me

But only by your grace, you changed
      my destiny

I praise the Lord and thank you

For taking me to Sunday School

It was just the beginning of my life

Now led by our Lord, Jesus Christ

It was there I learned to tell the story

Of God and all his glory

In just three days he died and rose

To forgive our sins

And save our souls

He's coming back again one day

To rescue believers

From a world of pain

Not because of anything we've done

But for believing in the chosen one

Some say God's a myth, a made up
      story

But they've never been touched by his
     glory

Some even use science to try and
      figure him out

Spending countless nights battling their
      doubts

And isn't it amazing how people so
      smart

Can live their entire lives in the dark

I'm not saying, I've never been there
      before

But my whole life changed when I
      opened God's door

He was always knocking and calling my
      name

But for some reason I wouldn't answer

Maybe I was ashamed

Now when I try

To hold God's Word in

It jumps right out and silences sin

I know it sounds strange, but he's real,
      he's alive

If you just believe in him, he'll give you
      eternal life

Give God a chance

One day I looked into the mirror and to
      my surprise

I could see life through God's eyes

Now if you can imagine, they spoke to
      me

And said, "I AM"

Just watch and see

I am your loving, your caring and your
      sharing

And in these times, why I'm even your
      daring

Daring enough to take your life in my
      hands

Daring enough to fight all of man

Daring enough for you to believe in me

So one day, you'll be daring enough to
      be free

May the Father, Son and Holy Spirit set
      you free
